This 60-minute workshop provides an in-depth look at understanding the work of community social workers and their role in addressing the needs and problem of the community. This 60-minute workshop provides an understanding of the general the most common types of mental disorders found on the ASWB exam. You will gain insight into the impacts on family and other caregivers and understand cultural beliefs about mental health issues, mental illness and the impact those beliefs may have when working with a client. You will acquire an understanding of how to identify the signs and symptoms of mental disorders. Ten (10) practice questions will be reviewed, and strategies and tips are provided to assist with understanding the questions and finding the correct answer.

This 90-minute workshop provides a brief understanding of the NASW code of ethics. This workshop will examine your awareness of personal values and how they impact professional decisions and explore ethical decision-making for potential issues that arise in clinical practice settings. Taniesha Delph holds a Masters of Social Work Degree and currently works as a Behavioral Therapist. Taniesha passed the LMSW exam two semesters before graduating college and then the LCSW exam a few months later and is currently obtaining her hours. Taniesha has successfully assisted social workers in passing their license exam and also tutor freshman and senior social work students from different states. In addition, she provides support and guidance to individuals who are taking their Credentialed Alcoholism Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) examination, in a group, online and individual settings.

What to Expect

– Handouts are provided once you sign-up to one of our workshops.
– During the workshop, you will have 12 minutes to complete 10 questions.
– Questions will be reviewed and various strategies, terms, and concepts will be discussed.
– Attendees can engage in discussions via chatbox or audio mode. Please note that workshops maybe in listen-only mode depending on the number of attendees.

How to Join the Event?

– Once you sign-up to an event you will receive an email which provides information such as the URL that will take you to the event room once the link is clicked or paste it into your browser.
